Winter F3J 2006 

Winter F3J 2006 will be held on February 4-5 2006 at Sønderjysk Flyveklub, Rødekro, Denmark.

The event is open for everyone who would like to participate.

Sponsors:

We have made an agreement with Sønderjysk Flyveklub so we can use their airfield this year. We had originally planned to use Arnborg again, but unfortunatly Arnborg had already been booked for the specific weekend. This is also the reason for us being so late with the information - because we tried to avoid cancelling the event and were searching for other options. But in the end it all turned out ok thanks to Sønderjysk Flyveklub!

We will use Aabenraa Vandrehjem (Hostel) for accomodation. We have reserved room for all competitors because it's not possible to sleep at the airfield. However, the airfield and hostel are only 10 km apart (about 12 minutes by car).

2 competitions will be flown during the weekend - one each day. The competitions will be WITHOUT fly off and EVERY flight will count in the final result (no discard rounds!).

We ask the 2 winners in 2005 (Erik Morgan Villadsen and Michael Kröger) to come and defend their cups!

Startmethod: F3B-winches - please bring as many of these as possible!
Line length: 300 meters (150 meters between startline and return pulley).
Teams: 2, 3 or 4 pilots in each team.

Schedule:

Thursday, 2. February 2006:
- Competitors from Norway will arrive

Friday, 3. February 2006:
-From 12:00: Arrival and training

Saturday, 4. February 2006:
- 7:30: Breakfast and briefing, Aabenraa Vandrehjem (Hostel)
- 8:30: Departure to the airfield
- 8:45: Preparation and setup of winches and equipment
- 9:30: First flight
-12:30: Lunch at the airfield
-16:00: No new rounds will be started after 16:00
-18:00: Dinner and prize giving, Aabenraa Vandrehjem (Hostel)

Sunday, 5. February 2006:
- 7:30: Breakfast and briefing, Aabenraa Vandrehjem (Hostel)
- 8:30: Check out from the hostel and departure to the airfield
- 8:45: Preparation and setup of winches and equipment
- 9:30: First flight
-12:30: Lunch at the airfield
-14:00: No new rounds will be started after 14:00
-15:30: Prize giving at the airfield and departure

The weather in Denmark can be quite difficult to predict. Hopefully it will be good - but keep in mind that a snowstorm could pass our way.

In case of (very) bad weather, the event could be cancelled with a 48 hour notice. This means that we on Thursday, February 2. 2005, 9:00 am, will say "go" or "no go".

We have made reservations for all competitors at Aabenraa Vandrehjem. This is also where we will eat breakfast and dinner.

Price per night per person = 100 Dkr (approx 14 €)

REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR OWN BED LINEN AND TOWELS or it will cost you extra.

Fees and payment:

The total fee for entry, food and accomodation will be announced at a later time. It depends on the number of entries. Payments are accepted in Danish Kroner or Euros. We will ask for your payment during the weekend of the event.
